    Meet Stevie D. Conlon, Senior Director & Tax Counsel, Securities Tax Solutions, Wolters Kluwer Financial Services

    Cost basis reporting thought leader, Stevie D. Conlon is Tax Director with GainsKeeper®, a part of Wolters Kluwer Financial Services. Ms. Conlon authored Wolters Kluwer Financial Services’ comments on IRS Notice 2009-17, its comments to the Senate Finance Committee staff on an earlier version of cost basis reporting, as well as numerous articles on the law including: “New Cost Basis Reporting Law Creates Challenges for Brokers,” Journal of Taxation of Financial Products, (Jan. 2009). She is a former Chair of the American Bar Association Tax Section Financial Transactions Committee, a former Tax Section Council Director, former Chair of the Chicago Bar Association Federal Taxation Committee and a Fellow of the American College of Tax Counsel. An author of a tax law treatise and over 35 tax articles, Ms. Conlon has extensive experience regarding the taxation of financial products and corporate actions, was previously a tax partner in national law firms, is a member of the New York and Illinois Bars, and is a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

    As a Senior Product Manager with Capital Change®s, corporate actions expert Richard Ryndak combines his knowledge of law and international business to provide tax and investment professionals with comprehensive information that summarizes the terms and tax consequences of corporate actions.

    As Senior Editor for international corporate actions reporting at Capital Changes®, he had been instrumental in developing Capital Changes Commentary for transactions that fail to provide U.S. tax information. Previously, he was Editor for the Capital Changes® Tax Treaties Reporter, a guide to international taxation agreements, and the Puerto Rico Tax Law Reporter, which helps those doing business in Puerto Rico understand the Puerto Rico International Revenue Code. Additionally, he practiced law for 15 years, focusing on international trade law and cross-border transactions. Richard participates in multiple speaking engagements at industry trade group events, including those offered by Securities Operations Forum and Securities Industry and Financial Markets Association and is Presenter at Wolters Kluwer Financial Services’ webinars and events, such as the Advent Annual User Conference and the SmartStream conference.
